Annual Unvented Cylinder Service in Leeds
Your pressurised hot water cylinder works hard every day, storing hot water at mains pressure. Manufacturers such as Heatrae Sadia (Megaflo), Gledhill, Joule and Telford recommend a service every year by a G3-qualified engineer – and it’s normally a condition of the cylinder’s warranty. Regular servicing catches problems such as a flat expansion vessel or sticking valve before they turn into a leak, a dripping tundish or no hot water.

Frequently Asked Questions
How often should an unvented cylinder be serviced?
Once a year. Most manufacturers recommend an annual service by a G3-qualified engineer, and it is usually required to keep the warranty valid.
What is G3?
G3 is the part of the Building Regulations covering unvented hot water storage. Engineers working on unvented cylinders must hold an unvented (G3) qualification, which our engineers do.
Do I have to get my Megaflo serviced?
Heatrae Sadia recommend an annual service for Megaflo cylinders and normally require it for the warranty.
Can you service my cylinder at the same time as a repair?
Yes. If we’re already there for a repair we can service the cylinder on the same visit.
Do you charge a call-out fee?
